Abstract:

“Perilaku atau gangguan kecemasan merupakan salah satu gangguan kejiwaan, yang bila tidak diatasi dan ditangani dengan baik dapat menimbulkan berbagai efek negatif pada seseorang hingga berakibat kematian. Berbagai penelitian intervensi dilakukan untuk mengatasi perilaku atau gangguan kecemasan, salah satunya adalah terapi musik yang dapat diterapkan secara klasikal atau kelompok. Berbagai penelitian mengatakan bahwa terapi musik dapat mengurangi kecemasan individu. Meskipun begitu, terdapat berbagai teori dan hasil penelitian yang berbeda-beda mengenai pengaruhnya dalam menurunkan kecemasan individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan studi meta-analisis dengan merevieu 14 jurnal penelitian internasional yang relevan dengan variabel penelitian dan melibatkan 1445 orang subjek. Hasil penelitian diperoleh adanya effect size (random effect) yang besar, dengan tidak ada bias. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa music therapy merupakan intervensi yang sangat efektif secara signifikan untuk menurunkan kecemasan individu.”
