Abstract:
“ABSTRACT The study done in UPT Udayana University Library aimed at determining the weeding evaluation by using descriptive qualitative methods. The techniques of data collections used in this study are direct observation to the library, conducting interviews with informants, documentation and literature study. There are some informants in this study, such as : The Head of Udayana University Library, The Head Division of Library Material Development and Processing, The Head Division of Service, The Users at UPT Udayana University Library and The Lecture of D3 Library Science Udayana University.The results of this study shows that the lack of understanding of library administrators regarding on weeding the collection of library materials. Library administrators assume that they have to weed the collection every day during shelving. Nevertheless, there is still a collection of library materials that are less updated with damaged physical condition. Keywords: Library, Library Material, Weeding”
