Abstract:

“Jurnal ilmiah yang berjudul “Code Switching Used by the Judges of X FactorIndonesia TV Show” bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena alih kode yang digunakanoleh para juri di acara TV tersebut. Analisis difokuskan pada tipe, fungsi dan factor dariperistiwa alih kode yang memotivasi para juri untuk berbicara menggunakan alih kode.Tujuan dari studi ini yaitu untuk menganalisa tipe peristiwa alih kode, mengetahui fungsiperistiwa alih kode dan menganalisa faktor dari peristiwa alih kode yang terjadi selamaproses penjurian di X Factor Indonesia. Temuan dari studi ini yaitu; terdapat 2perspektif dari peristiwa alih kode, yaitu syntactical perspectives dan discourseperspectives. Selain itu ada 6 fungsi dari peristiwa alih kode yaitu referential, directive,phatic, metalinguistic, expressive and poetic function. Di samping itu, ditemukan 5 dari10 faktor penyebab terjadinya peristiwa alih kode, yaitu Fill a linguistic need for lexicalitem, set phrase, discourse marker, or sentence filler, Continue the last language(triggering), Specify addressee, Qualify message: amplifying or emphasizing, andChange role of speaker: raise status, add authority, show expertise”
