Abstract:

“Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menganalisis hal perlindungan hukum yang akan segera diberikan kepada atlet MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) dari tindakan wanprestasi promotor olahraga beladiri campuran atau MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) dalam suatu pertandingan yang diselenggarakan. Studi ini menggunakan jenis penelitian hukum yang doktrinal dengan pendekatan yaitu undang-undang. Hasil daripada studi memperlihatkan bahwa pentingnya bagi seorang atlet olahraga ini yaitu MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) atau olahraga beladiri campuran untuk mendapatkan perlindungan hukum, yaitu melalui kontrak yang merujuk pada Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Perdata dan Undang-Undang No. 11 tahun 2022 tentang Keolahragaan. Pentingnya perlindungan hukum bagi atlet MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) atau olahraga beladiri campuran sangat berkaitan dengan adanya indikasi pemaksaan kontrak yang akan dilakukan pihak promotor terhadap atlet MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) atau olahraga beladiri campuran. Adapun bentuk perlindungan hukum yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan cermat dan selalu berkonsultasi dengan pihak-pihak yang mengerti hukum seperti konsultan hukum. The purpose of this study is to analyze the legal protection that will soon be given to MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) athletes from default actions of mixed martial arts or MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) promoters in an organized match. This study uses a doctrinal type of legal research with an approach that is law. The results of the study show that it is important for an athlete in this sport, namely MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) or mixed martial arts to get legal protection, namely through contracts that refer to the Civil Code and Law no. 11 of 2022 concerning sports. The importance of legal protection for MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) or mixed martial arts athletes is closely related to indications of contract coercion that will be carried out by the promoter against MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) athletes or mixed martial arts. The form of legal protection that can be done is to be careful and always consult with parties who understand the law such as legal consultants.”
