Abstract:

“Tujuan dari penulisan jurnal ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana pengaturan mengenai pembajakan video game. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum empiris dengan pendekatan fakta dan peraturan perundang-undangan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa tindakan pembajakan khususnya pada bidang video game masih sering dijumpai dikalangan masyarakat dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman tentang Hak Kekayaan Intelektual, dilihat dari peraturan perundang-undangan di negara Indenosia video game atau permainan video diatur dalam Pasal 40 huruf r Undang-Undang Nomor 28 Tahun 2014 Tentang Hak Cipta. Dalam penegakan hukum pembajakan video game khususnya di Kota Denpasar dilaksanakan berdasarkan laporan dari pihak yang merasa dirugikan karena hal tersebut termasuk ke dalam delik aduan. The purpose of writing scientific journals is to understand how video game piracy is regulated. This study uses an empirical legal research method with an approach to facts and laws and regulations. The results of the study show that piracy, especially in the field of video games, is still often encountered among the public due to a lack of understanding of Intellectual Property Rights, seen from the laws and regulations in the Indonesian state video games or video games are regulated in Article 40 letter r Law Number 28 Year 2014 About Copyright. In enforcing the law of video game piracy, especially in Denpasar City, it is carried out based on reports from parties who feel aggrieved because it is included in the complaint offense.”
