Abstract:

“Polymer Ertalone 6SA digunakan sebagai bahan pengganti material sintered bronze untuk produk bushing, karena ia memiliki kekuatan material yang sama baiknya, serta biaya produksi yang relatif lebih rendah. Produk bushing menuntut untuk memiliki nilai kekasaran permukaan yang rendah atau halus. Guna menghasilkan kekasaran permukaan yang baik, parameter pemotongan pada proses pemesinan memberi pengaruh yang significant. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melakukan kajian terhadap nilai kekasaran permukaan bahan polymer Ertalone 6SA yang dilakukan proses milling dalam membentuk permukaan sesuai dengan bentuk dan dimensi yang diinginkan. Metode yang dilakukan merupakan proses milling dengan menggunakan mesin Milling CNC, adapun jenis mata pahat yang digunakan adalah end milling HSS. Eksperimen dilakukan dengan memvariasikan parameter pemotongan pada proses pemesinan dan melakukan proses pemotongan side milling, hasil pemotongan yang terjadi pada permukaan benda kerja di ukur untuk mengetahui nilai kekasaran permukaan yang diperoleh. Pengukuran nilai kekasaran permukaan benda kerja dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur surfacet test Mitutoyo. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa nilai kekasaran permukaan material Polymer Ertalone 6SA yang paling baik diperoleh pada variasi kecepatan potong (Vc) 140 m/min, kecepatan pemakanan (Vf) 300 mm/min, dan kedalaman pemakanan (a) sebesar 0,4 mm dengan nilai kekasaran permukaan (Ra) sebesar 0,722 ?m, dalam melakukan proses pemesinan material Polymer Ertalone 6SA diperlukan coolant untuk mencegah terjadinya Build Up Edge (BUE) pada mata pahat. The method used is a milling process using a CNC Milling machine, as for the type of cutting tool used is HSS end milling. Experiments carried out by varying the cutting parameters on machining processes and perform side milling cutting process, the result of cutting that occurs on the surface of the workpiece is measured to determine the surface roughness values obtained. Measurement of the workpiece surface roughness values is done by using a Mitutoyo measuring tool surfacet test. From the research that has been made known that the surface roughness value Ertalone 6SA Polymer materials are best obtained on the variation of cutting speed (Vc) 140 m / min, speed feeds (Vf) of 300 mm / min, and the depth of the cemetery (a) of 0.4 mm with a surface roughness value (Ra) of 0,722 lm, the machining process Ertalone 6SA Polymer materials required to prevent coolant Build Up Edge (BUE) on the cutting tools.
