Abstract:

“AbstrakAktivitas umat Hindu khususnya di Bali dalam kegiatan budaya maupun keagamaan tidak bisadilepaskan dari perangkat instrumen akustik yang dinamakan gamelan. Ini merupakan suatunilai eksistensi dari peradaban masyarakat Hindu Bali yang secara turun temurun telahdipelihara. Komponen yang harus diperhatikan dalam proses pembuatan gamelan adalahmulai dari komposisi perunggu, tungku peleburan (prapen), proses pengecoran, prosespenempaan/ pemadatan (forging) serta proses akhir (finishing) yang merupakan prosespenyelarasan suara pada gamelan Bali. Kecepatan dalam proses peleburan sangat ditentukanoleh tekanan, kapasitas serta distribusi aliran udara dalam pembakaran bahan bakar sertakadar polutan. Jika proses peleburan lama maka biaya produksi meningkat karena hal initerkait dengan penggunaan bahan bakar. Dalam penelitian dilakukan redesain terhadap modelinjektor yang sudah biasa digunakan oleh para perajin yaitu mempunyai bentuk saluran lurusdengan diameter yang sama. Redesain model injektor udara pembakaran mempunyai bentukkonvergen –divergen, dimana desain ini didasarkan atas pendekatan teori thermodinamika.Redesain yang dilakukan diharapkan mampu memberikan proses pembakaran yang lebihsempurna sehingga proses peleburan menjadi lebih cepat dan komposisi polusi udara sekitar(ambient) lebih aman bagi perajin. Hasil dalam penelitian yang dilakukan setidaknya dapatmemberikan kontribusi bagi perajin gamelan Bali terutama untuk menekan biaya produksi sertagairah untuk melestarikan eksistensi budaya. Penelitian yang dilakukan melalui redesaininjektor menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan penggunaan arang sebesar 10,47 % serta produksihasil peleburan meningkat 12,94 %. Untuk kadar polutan dimana hasil pengujian terhadapsampel kualitas udara seperti NO2, CO2, TSP (debu) mengalami penurunan secara signifikan.Data tersebut diukur pada rentang waktu 4 jam kerja serta dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 3kali. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model injektor penghembus udara pembakaran dapatmeningkatkan produksi serta mengurangi kadar polutan dalam proses peleburan perunggu.Kata kunci: Redesain injektor, peleburan, udara sekitarAbstractActivity Hindus in Bali, especially in cultural or religious activities can not be separated from theacoustic instruments called gamelan. In a study conducted redesigning the injector models that arecommonly used by the craftsmen that have the form of a straight line with the same diameter.Model ergo thermal injector of air combustion has a convergent-divergent shape, where thedesign is based on the thermodynamic theory approach. Redesign done are expected toprovide a more complete combustion process so that the process becomes more rapid meltingand composition of ambient air pollution safer for crafters. The results of the researchconducted at least be able to contribute to the Balinese gamelan craftsmen especially for lowerproduction costs as well as a passion for preserving the cultural existence. Researchconducted through the application of injector models show a decline in the use of charcoal10.47% and 12.94% production increase smelting. The test result of the pollutants Levelswhere of air quality samples such as NO2, CO2, TSP (dust) decreased significantly. Datameasured on timescales of 4 hours and repeated 3 times.
