Abstract:
“ABSTRACT This final project writing aims to find out the copyright policy in Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta Library. This research uses decriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are data triangulation. The informants of this study were the head of the Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic university library, and the library staff at the Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Library, which numbered four people. The result of this study indicate that the UIN Library has a policy regarding thesis copy regulation and the library refers to the Copyright Act No. 19 of 2002. The UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library has complied with the Copyright Act, as evidenced by the sxistence of a photocopy policy but the policy until now it was still less than optimal, because of the lack of knowledge of users of the existence of the copyright.
