Abstract:

“ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to determine the implementation of K-ATM (Knowledge-Automatic Transfer Machine) services in Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia. This research using descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study were came from textbooks, journals, research results, field observations and interviews. The informants in this research amounted 5 (five) informants, which are librarians and staff whose served in K-ATM services. Technique of data analysis used data Collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.The results of this research indicate that the existence of K-ATM services is very helpful librarians and library staff in the University of Indonesia Library to fulfill the user information needs in required e-book and journals quickly and precisely and functioning as store virtual reference collections. The K-ATM limitation were the relativity of low storage capacity which issues errors when it was overload. Keywords: K-ATM, References Services, Library Automation”
