Based on the analysis and discussions of the previous chapter, some conclusions can be drawn from this movie. This is the result of the comparison between compliment responses in A Walk to Remember (American Movie) and Love Actually (British Movie). More American movie often give compliments and compliment responses. In America or in American culture, compliments and compliment responses are very reasonable thing because they can give satisfaction, because in America it is to say that communication is based on the goal of creating a sense of equality and belonging. This, in turn, is due to the fact that American culture rests on the belief in the primacy of the individual (not group) and that it is achievement-oriented, not oriented notion. Compared to movies from the British, British movies rarely someone gives a compliment and compliment response. In English culture, you will not be rewarded for praise people on things they could not help, and the rarer compliment. Similarly, in a culture that self-praise is taboo, praise be given more careful, because receiving a compliment is to praise oneself.
